Poem by Patrick Driscoll
Can a broken Heart last a lifetime?
When your Soulmate’s flown, but still so young
in the distance of the distance
I’ll pull myself forward
past forgotten dreams that had begun.
As I walk through the darkness
the healing is hurting bad
and the light is nowhere in sight
with doubt i cling to a fraction of hope
yet the blackness is blinding
so weak, I have to fight.
The overwhelming Emotion
keeps multiplying intensely
with every breathe I fight to breathe
My Heart it is stinging
where once it was singing
this strange, cold world I long to leave.
Can a broken Heart last a lifetime?
When a Soulmate has flown, but still so young
in the distance of the distance
I force myself forward
further and further from where the lovebirds once sung.
