God

If its God that you seek, just walk down the street
Look to the freshness springing from the children you meet
Look deeply into eyes, of those elderly grown wise
Smell God’s glory in the vapors from the bakery’s pies.

Or drink God’s awesome vision, in the swirling tidal skies
a vision almost painful, in its boundless dreadful size.

The notion God’s a “book” or a “building” is a very silly lie
God is everything encountered by, and including . . . “you” and “I”
