Your wings look like they’ve been clipped,
so you use your tired feet to regain your speed
So you walk on down the road of life,
an all too faimilar path to your poor soul
The moon’s glowing above your head tonight,
it’s your only guiding light
Your knees begin to weaken, your streangth is no more,
and you collapse onto the dirt, almost gone
You look around for your shining star,
only to see it fade away before your very eyes
It shines no more and your world goes black,
you yell for help but you only choke up dust
Your hand extends out towards the sky,
trying to grasp any hope that there may be left
But once agian you grab onto nothingness,
and the tears begin to stream madly down your face
Crawling on the ground you try to move forward,
only inching closer to your own grave
But you don’t give up,
a driving force inside your soul won’t let you go yet to the fiery hells below
Your heart is almost giving out by now,
but you don’t let that stop you from escaping the pain
You can almost see the warming rays of the sun,
with your last breath you feel it’s welcome heat
You look around for your shining star,
only to see it be born anew before your eyes
It shines once more and your world gleens bright,
you yell for joy but in fatigue only make a sigh
The dawn at last comes out again to greet the world,
it’s light and warmth pouring forth onto you
Your journey is over at long last,
you’ve found your heaven and now can live in peace
Your wings look like they’ve been clipped,
so you use your tired feet to regain your speed
So you walk on down the road of life,
an all too faimilar path to your poor soul
