I wish I could say I’ve learned now how to forgive you

But the soul that descended from heaven above
Is now in human ego
The soul that descended from above
Is no earthly angel
The promise we made to never forget
The lesson taught from love
The promise remembered a little to late
And the wound just will not heal
I’d like to think that maybe one day
I’ll feel the freedom of forgiveness
I’d like to think that maybe one some day
We’ll meet as earthly angels
Of all the lessons that come my way
And by far there has been many
The one you brought, the one you taught
The hardest failure to except
Is the one they call forgiveness
